Elfstone also does novel event planning and performances. We have produced the popular Way Cool Musical Tour for young children, a contemporary composition, My Plans for You, for soloist and church choir at an east-coast church and also appropriate music for downtown holiday shopping. |
| The Company Elfstone Music was created in 2002 by Terry Miller, a long-ago native of Elk Rapids, Michigan and recent longtime Boston-area resident (who once again lives in Elk Rapids), to promote and develop the performance of contemporary music. Focusing mainly on jazz, pop, rock, and classical musical styles, Elfstone produces some of the finest original compositions and arrangements in northern Michigan -- for groups that range in size from singer/ songwriter to bands and orchestras. Terry Miller Always an energetic vocalist and sax stylist, Terry has performed with The Halalisa Singers, The Concord Chorus and briefly with The Concord Players, as well as in numerous garage bands, choirs and ad hoc groups. In December, 2003, he helped coordinate the music for Concord Night, a holiday tradition in Concord, MA. He performs locally in his own Way Cool Musical Tour that entertains and delights young children and their parents. Terry's diverse background includes degrees in liberal arts and politics, 20 years of business experience, and recently he attended the Berklee College of Music to further hone his musical abilities and improve his understanding of the music business. Zap Büxtehoven A 7th-generation musician/composer from a remote part of Bavaria, Zap specializes in cool and strange electronic music for special occasions and games. He is well known for spooky Halloween stuff, and his The Dwarves post-post-modern composition, for which he did plenty of field research, is truly one of a kind. A lifelong recluse, The Zapper is rarely seen in public, preferring to work in solitude surrounded by exotic electronics as well as low-carb, low-fat sandwiches and creamy mocha lattes. Smokey Chipolte Specializing in latin compositions and arrangements, Smokey is also a magnificent musician - on the timbales. Of Mayan descent, Smokey is originally from the small town of Quetzgochimelcoatl, which translates loosely as dust. He now lives in Mancelona with his dog, Pacho. |
